Wild and the moon – vegan food in Dubai

Wild and the moon is a fully vegan restaurant that brings a wide variety of healthy food to Dubai. It is located in Al Serkal avenue, an industrial compound that is also known as an art and culture district. Parking spaces inside the compound are limited, so it’s best to park outside on the sand and walk. The vegan restaurant offers cold pressed juices, smoothies, salads, soups, desserts, crackers and snacks, and warm beverages. Wild and the moon use local, plant-based and seasonal produce as much as possible.

wildandthemoon1aI absolutely love the interior, lots of wood, green plants and good vibes inside of a warehouse. Most of the dishes and juices available are displayed in the fridges on the right side. They have an extensive range of different juices with lots of healthy ingredients. Next to it I found many organic superfoods for sale that are usually hard to come by in the U.A.E.

wildandthemoon2abFor breakfast they offer avocado toast, acai and matcha bowls, chia pudding and porridge. The daily soup and wild bowl totally depend on the vegetables that are currently in season and change daily. Healthy snacks include guacamole, cucumber wakame, kale chips and different crackers. They also have different superfood bars availalbe with maca, cacao nibs and guarana. Guarana is a South African seed that is very high in caffeine and perfect for an energy bar.

I  chose the lentil salad with walnuts, apple, orange, coriander and fennel. I also had the wild bowl of the day which was a mix of brown rice and beans topped off with a tomato-guacamole salsa. For dessert I had a delicious chia pudding with added rose water. The food tasted amazing and although it is a little on the pricey side it is normal to pay more for high quality, organic ingredients.

Wild and the moon is open every day of the week from 8am-7pm. You can follow them on instagram and Facebook or visit their website for more information. For the google map location please click hereplease click here.
