Although Urth has only opened recently it is definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Dubai. I am in love with their concept, interior and food. The fully pescetarian restaurant offers lots of plant-based options including healthy raw desserts.
I love restaurants that are trying to make a change in the local health scene and Urth is definitely one of them. The restaurant’s interior is very cozy with attention to every detail and the owner, manager and waitress are welcoming and helpful.
I am confident that I tried every single vegan option on the menu so far and I loved all of it. I highly recommend the Buddha burger with a very generous side of salad.
Another one of my favourite is the avocado basil tartine which is a bread topped with avocado, cherry tomatoes, mint and parsley. I love the vegan cheese tartine, the consistency reminds of cottage cheese. They also have gluten free options available for the bread. The salads are incredibly fresh and my absolute favourite is the quinoa and date salad with pomegranate, avocado, almonds and celery.
Filtered water is on the house, which I absolutely love as I believe that water should be free of charge everywhere. However they also serve delicious, fresh smoothies. The desserts vary from day to day, but I recommend their carrot cake.
